Communications & Brand Management delivers strategic internal, external, and executive communications for Wells Fargo and is responsible for driving the company's brand strategy. The team provides world-class counsel to accelerate the business and deliver relevant content to build trust, drive stakeholder perception, and protect and enhance the company's reputation.

Employee Communications & Employer Brand manages strategic internal, external, and executive communications for Wells Fargo. The team delivers world-class communications counsel and content to stakeholders in ways that builds trust while protecting and enhancing the company’s reputation and culture.

We are looking for a UX Designer (Digital Consultant 2) who can help deliver user-centered, best-in-class designs from ideation to finished product.  This position reports to the Head of the Employee Digital Experience and UX Design within the Enterprise Channels & Digital Experience team and will help support the company portal as well as other employee facing channels, applications and tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creating and improving design solutions for web and mobile applications that are based on user research and user-centered design techniques

  • Creating designs that influence the strategy and employee experience of our digital properties

  • Helping craft and facilitate workshops to answer critical business questions through design thinking, prototyping and testing with users 

  • Designing journey maps, wireframes, information architecture, low and high-resolution concepts and working prototypes

  • Establishing, refining and documenting design patterns

  • Being a Brand Steward; Understanding and applying Wells Fargo’s brand core design principles

  • Understanding and applying Accessibility design principles for ADA compliance

  • Taking a proactive approach around designing for inclusivity

  • Creating standard design guidelines for employee digital properties that are brand compliant and user-centric 

  • Presenting designs and key milestones to peers and stakeholders

  • Advocating for the employee and educating at all levels on the importance of user-centered design 

  • Participating on scrum teams as a dedicated UX designer

  • Collaborating with the design team, product team, technology team, various stakeholders and users

As a UX Designer You:

  • Are a creative, strategic thinker who can implement cohesive and inclusive designs

  • Work with senior designers on high-visibility design initiatives

  • Can effectively partner with many different roles and people in a professional manner

  • Are a problem solver, take initiative and continuously pursue improvement

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: digital customer experience, digital product/program management, digital platforms, or digital consulting demonstrated through work or military experience

Desired Qualifications

  • 3+ years of interaction design experience

  • 3+ years of visual design experience

Other Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with InVision, Sketch, Figma and proficient in the use of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop

  • Experience working on agile development projects

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Graphic Design, Visual Design, Information Sciences and/or Masters Degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors

  • Education or certificates in UX Design
